Queensland
Celebrating the difference you make!
Children and adults with cerebral palsy (CP) have shared their stories, photos and videos with Australia about how they’re making a difference in life or how someone else has made a difference to them.
Congratulations to everyone who has participated and shared their story on the ‘You be the difference’ website.
Each state has selected its most inspiring story which you can view on each state page. Woman’s Day will feature one of these entries to conclude the campaign.
Take a look at these stories - every one will inspire and motivate you!

The Cerebral Palsy League
For over 60 years the Cerebral Palsy League (CPL) has helped Queenslanders with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities to live an everyday life.
Our goal is for people with cerebral palsy and other disabilities to lead valued lives as respected and equal members of the community.
CPL spends millions of dollars a year to provide services to assist thousands of people with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities to reach their goals. These goals may include educational attainment, independent living, meaningful employment, and participating and contributing within the wider community.
CPL’s expertise in supporting people with cerebral palsy has led to the organisation becoming one of Queensland’s largest disability service providers. Today, we regularly support over 3,100 children, adults and families with physical disabilities across Queensland.
While support needs vary through the different stages of life, we give particular emphasis to early intervention, providing targeted services at an early age which are fundamental in realising or maximising future life opportunities.
Support we provide may include speech therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and social work services. Other support provided includes technology and equipment services, therapy and career support and in-home and community access.
